    Bubble Art

Do you know what happens when you mix bubbles with food coloring? We did this craft a couple different times with different soaps techniques. The first way you can do this is mixing bubbles and food coloring and going outside and blowing bubbles on a canvas or paper. This method is great for toddlers because it is simple. However: know that these colorful bubbles look pretty on a blank canvas but not so pretty on my new white shirt. Nature Press Picture Frame

We started doing a scavenger hunt around the yard to find all the plants for this project. Then we arranged the flowers in the picture frame. After that we took a magnifying glass and examined all the parts the flower and leaves. So all in all this was actually 3 activities in 1: Nature scavenger hunt, flower picture press, and then a science lesson. Win. Win. Win. Please follow and like us:

    Picture Silhouette

Why did we do butterfly’s and balloons? Because that is about as far as my artistic ability goes. I am sure if you are one of those artsy moms you can make something more creative. Either way these were fun and fun to put on the fridge. *side note: I did make the silhouettes and cut out the pictures the night before so all my daughter had to do was paint the wings and balloons. **bonus points if you create a picture out of the silhouettes Please follow and like us:

    Painting With Spaghetti

My daughter loves painting. She loves anything that involves getting messy. So when she woke up and asked to paint but realized we had no paint brushes I had to think creatively on my feed. Luckily I had been cleaning out my pantry and was about to throw away some left over spaghetti. Instead of throwing it out we boiled half of it and wha-la! We had our paint brushes. The best part is I think she enjoyed it more than the regular paint brushes. Please follow and like us:
